After several (disastrously) failed attempts at hatching out our lovely guineas, success at last! It did unfortunately involve capturing the mother hen along with her 14 hatchlings, as well as keeping them confined to a rather small enclosure (rabbit hutch), and having the 15 of them completely panic at the sight of anyone that dared come near them, with all the screeching and screaming their panic involves.... the family was released today.
I wrote this post a few weeks ago, and it took me this long to finally upload the pics, sorry! It turns out, only four of the keets survived. But they are doing great! Following their mamma and standing up to the aunts & uncles : )
