A Star is Born

Finally!  We have a baby...!  This morning, as soon as we woke up, Mr. Sassafras went out, to check on the sheepies....we heard him whistle, we looked out and sure enough, mamma sheep was getting ready to deliver...after about 1 hour, our first ever lamb was born..he is sooooo cute....! The kids could barely wait to hold him, as it turned out, he walked straight at them while mamma was pushing out baby number two - who sadly, was stillborn : (

We are happy we at least have number one though, we named him Jean Valjean, since we went out to see our friend Miranda on Les Miserables, last night...who knows, we might still get our Cosette next week...

Beach Bum

This is what happens when you get up really early, explore the tidepools,  walk on the pier,  watch the fishermen,  catch sand crabs, collect seashells and boogie board 'til noon...

No Camera? No problem!

After our last camera died in action, I have been taking oodles and oodles of video and pictures with my new fancy shmancy video camera, but.....it doesn't upload on my mac...I'm still trying to figure out whether I can recover any of the files, in the meantime, here's some oldies but goodies...

So, we are studying parts of speech, in one of her examples, Maura wrote:  "Possum (her cat) purrrs sweetly"   I asked her: ' How many r's in purr? '  Her answer:  ' A lot, but I only wrote three...."
